The Oudsema family has lived and worked in our community for four generations. Oudsema Law PLLC builds on that tradition by providing legal services to families, businesses and trusts. Founded in 1976, William R. “Bill” Oudsema has been practicing for the past four decades. In 2018, Bill’s son Jeff moved back to Kalamazoo after working in Chicago for a decade. Together they work diligently to ensure that Kalamazoo continues to remain a vibrant community for families and businesses.

Born and raised in Kalamazoo, and one of seven children, Bill Oudsema opened his law practice in 1976. Bill has been representing families, businesses and trusts for over four decades. As an ICLE-certified Probate & Estate Planner, he has served as counsel to large and small businesses from inception to maturity. Bill and his wife Kathy raised children Jeff, Molly, and Scott ,and now relish spending time with their grandchildren.

Jeffrey H. Oudsema
Jeff joined the practice in 2018 after moving back to the Kalamazoo community from Chicago. Jeff focuses his practice in business disputes, estate planning and real property. Jeff often represents Homeowner Associations in Southwest Michigan and currently serves as President of the Stoney Creek HOA. Previously, Jeff spent ten years working for the City of Chicago Office of Inspector General handling fraud investigations at the city, state and federal levels. Jeff has represented clients in local courts, the Financial Industry Regulation Authority (FINRA) and the American Arbitration Association (ABA). Licensed in both Michigan and Illinois, Jeff brings energy and continuity to the practice. Jeff and wife Paige, daughters Jasper & Tessa, and lab Zoey, live in the Kalamazoo community where he enjoys photography, biking and the outdoors.

Rhonda Mills
Rhonda has provided trusted legal support to The Oudsema Law Office for over thirty years. She is an expert in preparing probate and estate planning documents and she is an invaluable member of the team. Rhonda is often the first point of contact for many clients and she never forgets a face. Rhonda and her husband have raised their two children in the Kalamazoo community and are proud parents of dog Mabel.

Zoey is a newly licensed Attorney at Paw and serves as the office mascot. After a ruff day, she enjoys chasing falling leaves, burying her head in the snow and pining for belly rubs. Zoey advises clients to speak softly but carry big treats.
